Pregnancy is possibly the most exciting time of life. However, I also understand that it can be a little intimidating, bringing uncertainty and lots of questions with it.
My aim is to help you and your family to have a safe, healthy and positive experience during your pregnancy by providing care which is friendly, evidence-based and tailored to meet your very individual needs and wishes.
I offer obstetric care both before and during a pregnancy, and ongoing care following the birth of your baby.
Obstetric services that I provide include:
- Pre-pregnancy counselling
- Management of early pregnancy complications
- Antenatal care
- Management of high-risk pregnancies and pregnancy complications, such as
- Pre-existing medical conditions
- Gestational diabetes
- Blood pressure problems
- Multiple pregnancies
- Management of labour
- Vaginal birth
- Instrumental deliveries
- Caesarean section
- Vaginal birth after caesarean section (VBAC)
- Postnatal care.
Some pregnancies require combined care with other health professionals. This could include other medical staff, such as an obstetric physician or endocrinologist, or include allied health professionals, such as physiotherapists, dietitians, diabetic educators and psychologists. As part of the Greenslopes Obstetrics and Gynaecology Group, we are able to offer a number of these services on site.
